Overview

CupWatch is a Chrome extension for following the World Cup 2026. CupWatch does not collect personal information, payment information, browsing history, website content, or user activity for advertising. The extension stores preferences and cached match data locally in your browser so the side panel can remember your settings and load quickly.

Data Stored Locally

CupWatch may store the following data in Chrome local storage: theme, favourite teams, saved matches, spoiler-free mode, revealed matches, notification settings, Pro access status, cached match schedules, standings, match details, and news results.

This data remains on your device unless you remove the extension, clear Chrome extension storage, or use browser tools to reset extension data.

Data We Do Not Collect

CupWatch does not collect your name, address, email address, payment card details, passwords, browsing history, website content, keystrokes, or precise location. CupWatch does not sell user data and does not use user data for advertising or creditworthiness decisions.

Third-Party Services

CupWatch retrieves match schedules, live scores, standings, match details, and related news from third-party data sources such as ESPN endpoints and Google News. These requests are used only to provide CupWatch features.

Pro checkout, login, and payment processing are handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. CupWatch does not store payment card details or buyer email addresses in the extension.

Notifications

If you enable reminders or alerts, CupWatch may request Chrome notification permission. Notifications are used only for selected match reminders and alerts.

Security

CupWatch uses Chrome extension storage for local settings and cached data. Remote requests are made over HTTPS where supported by the data provider. Payment information is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe, not by CupWatch.
